ABOUT ME

Theresa Stenzel

Theresa Stenzel is a singer, performer, artistic director and cultural educator in Frankfurt am Main.

She studied music-singing, literature and performative arts at the Franz Liszt University of Music Weimar, the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the UAS Frankfurt am Main.

Her concerts, performances, musical storytellings and workshops have taken her to international stages such as the Festival International de Théatre et des Arts de la Scene d'Agadir, Morocco, the Akronafplia Castle in Nafplio/Greece, the Stadttheater Aschaffenburg, the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center Łódź/Poland, the Yiddish Summer Festival Weimar, the International Theatre Festival Sommerwerft Frankfurt or the Art Center Haifa/Israel.

Theresa is the founder and artistic director of the international Ensemble ParaΞenon, based in Athens and Frankfurt. Together with the ensemble, she develops transcultural musical storytellings that are performed throughout Europe.

In addition to Theresa's artistic activities, she works passionately as a cultural educator, for example at the Jewish Museum Frankfurt or the Musikschule Vierklang Frankfurt. Her courses, workshops and guided tours focus not only on the professional communication of musical and artistic content, but also on creating an atmosphere of shared learning, openness, tolerance and diversity.

    ANANA in Paris

"With which luck did the wind carry me to this place?" Anana asks herself at the beginning of the story and proudly puts on her beret. But many dangers await our little banana peel in the big city: first it ends up in the organic waste, then in the Parisian sewerage system... How will she manage to become a star on the big ballet stage in the end?

In this episode, the hand puppet Anana tells of her adventures in Paris. Anana is musically supported by the singer Theresa Stenzel, the canun-player Eleanna Pitsikaki, the flutist Vladimir Dindiryakov and video projections by Anton Sahler. The audience is also invited to sing, dance and clap along.
